Rise and shine! Marvel at the sun rising above Angkor’s magnificent towers, and take in the beauty of its surroundings. Immerse yourself to meet the heart of Cambodia with three main temples. Later, away from the crowd of tourists, explore the surrounding areas and meet the local community getting about their daily lives.
Catch the best light of day at Angkor Wat—the sunrise! This is an amazing photographic opportunity where you will be able to move around the temple complex to find the best spot to view and photograph the sun rising over Angkor’s three towers. After sunrise, your guide will give you an introduction to Angkor, where you will learn more about Cambodia’s unique history.
Before heading towards our next stop—Angkor Thom—you will have the option of picking up some local snacks, based on your guide’s recommendations. For those needing a shot of caffeine, you are more than welcome to stop for local Khmer coffee! You will then cycle to Angkor Thom with your guide, who will introduce you to the unique architecture of this ancient Buddhist temple.
Hungry? We thought so! Leading you away from the temple complexes, your guides will now lead you to a local village where you will be able to take a simple Khmer cooking class and sample local cuisine! Get to know the friendly locals and learn more about their lives, which revolve around the temple complex of Angkor Wat.
After Angkor Thom, you will embark on some off-road cycling, biking along hidden dirt roads of local villages. Get to know the locals and friendly children who live around the ancient temples, and find out more about their everyday lives. Your tour comes to an end when we head back to town, just in time for lunch!
After lunch, off we go again! Your guides will lead you to Ta Prohm—the Jungle Temple. While this temple is now more popularly known as the site “where Tomb Raider was filmed,” look carefully around you and observe the architectural intricacies of this unique temple. Marvel at the roots growing around, within, and through this archaic site.

Due to the physical nature of our trips, it is extremely important that you are of good physical health and therefore able to fully participate in group cycling. Prior to the start of your tour and at every trip stop during your tour, every rider is required to provide details of any pre-existing medical conditions or to inform the tour leader if he/she feels unwell. Disclosure of this information is extremely important so as to ensure that we can act effectively in the case of an emergency.
To give the respect to the locals, we highly suggest you wear a shirt that covers your shoulders and shorts that cover your knees. Cycling clothes are highly appreciated!
During this tour, we offer you 100% Khmer meals, so do inform us if you have any special requirement (veg, or non veg.) with food while signing up.
